Enterprise - Exceptional Family Member Program (E-EFMP) Training - IEP: More Than a Snapshot

When: May 23, 2024
Time: 0900 - 1000 (localtime)
Location: Online

What is the Exceptional Family Member Program?
The EFMP is a mandatory enrollment program that assists active duty military Families who have a Family member that has been identified as having special medical and/or educational needs. The special needs are documented through enrollment in the EFMP utilizing the DD Form 2792 (Family Member Medical Summary). The EFMP works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, educational, medical and personnel services.

If you have a Family member recently diagnosed with a medical, mental health or special need, you probably have a lot of questions. Add in the demands of military life, and it can quickly feel overwhelming.  A strong support system makes everything easier and is especially important for our EFMP Families.  The EFMP’s goal is to assist in mission readiness by providing comprehensive care and services to Army Families with special needs dependents.

The Directorate of Prevention, Resilience and Readiness is offering E-EFMP training for Soldiers and their Families. During the interactive sessions participants will learn how to make a smooth permanent change of station with children who are receiving special education and other related services.
